On 6th February 2022, an event on “Women Healthcare Awareness” was organized by Women in Engineering (WIE) council of Fr.CRCE which was conducted by Dr. Pallavi Raut who had done MBBS, AFIH and diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics.
Dr. Pallavi Raut had done her graduation from Panjab Rao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati; did lectureship at SSR Medical college in department of obstetrics and gynaecology were she served for almost 7 years. She also worked at AIR INDIA to help employees deal better with work stress. Now, she is currently working as a private practitioner at Marol, Andheri-East.

The event commenced at 2 pm with an introductory speech by Ms. Meryl Correia about our speaker and what was the event about. Then, Dr. Pallavi began by giving the participants introduction about female reproductive system, its different parts, hormones produce and functions performed by it. She gave a brief introduction on ‘Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome’ a disease that can occur in female reproductive system; its cause, symptoms and how to take proper precautions. She gave a detail information about how a person suffering from PCOS should keep their diet, hygiene and precautions.
There, was later a QnA section where all the participants asked different questions related to female hygiene, menstruation and proper care in those days, etc.

The event came to an end with a vote of thank by Ms. Necia Rodrigues to our speaker for making this session wonderful and faculty member for giving their time to attend the event. Lastly all the participants were asked to fill the feedback form circulated through chat box in the meet. There was maximum positive response by the participants and appreciation for Dr. Pallavi Raut.
